Terms and Conditions

If you choose to board your cat with us at Cosy Cats Cattery, the following terms and conditions will apply. You may download a PDF copy of our terms and conditions using this link, (clicking will open in a new tab, or right click and Save As) a copy will be available at reception when you book your cat in with us.

Neutering

I am updating the terms and conditions, currently laid out on this website, constructed by the previous owners, to make it absolutely clear to clients that your cat/s MUST be neutered if they are to stay at the cattery.   I hope this will clear up any confusion there might have been before. Vaccination
Your cat’s inoculations for Feline Infectious Enteritis and upper respiratory infections (Cat Flu) must be up to date
Your cat’s up to date vaccination certificate will need to be presented prior to boarding. Please remember your cat cannot be boarded without it, so ensure your vaccinations are boosted annually. This is in the interest of your cat’s health and those who are staying in the cattery at the same time. Where a full course of vaccinations is required, these must be completed at least 7 days before boarding.
The annual booster vaccination should be carried out at least seven days before boarding.

*CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation of the full booking within 7 days of the commencement of the booking will result in the full boarding fees being due for payment
Cancellation of the full booking within 8 to 14 days of the commencement of The booking will result in 50% of the full boarding fees being due for payment.
In the event of owners returning before the end of the boarding period booked The full period booked will be charged. There are no discounts for early Collections.

Flea & Worm treatment
All cats should have been treated against fleas and worms before being dropped off for boarding and date of last treatment is to be indicated on the boarding from. Should any cat on arrival require treatment for internal or external parasites (fleas, worms, etc.) then the cost of treatment will be added to the total boarding fee.

Illness/Emergencies
Cats suffering or suspected of suffering from infectious or contagious disease will not be accepted at arrival.
When leaving your cat in our care, you agree that in case of emergencies, your cat will be taken to the nearest vet to ensure swift examination if your own vet is further away.
Should the recommendation of the vet be to put the cat down, we will try to contact you or your emergency contact immediately to seek your permission. However, should we not be able to get a response within 24 hours then we will follow the vet’s recommendation to avoid unnecessary suffering of the cat.

Drop off and collection
Cats may only be collected / dropped off during our opening hours. In very exceptional circumstances, cats may be collected outside of these hours, please note there may be an additional charge for this service.

Payments
Payments may be made by cheque, cash or credit card at drop-off or pick-up time.

Disclaimer
Whilst every care and precaution is taken to safeguard the health and well-being of all cats entrusted in to the care of Cosy Cats Cattery, they are boarded entirely at the owner’s own risk.
